Welcome to The Heights Men’s Ministry! The Heights Men’s Ministry exists to inspire men to follow Jesus and fearlessly change the 804 and the world. We aspire to be men of God in our homes, workplaces, & church. We don’t have all the answers, and none of us are perfect, but we will challenge and encourage each other to follow Jesus Christ in every aspect of our lives.

Some of the current opportunities that we hope will help you to develop relationships and grow in your walk with the Lord include a variety of Bible Studies, Discipleship, Service & Mentoring groups, as well as Recreational activities. We hope you can find something that sparks your interest, and we look forward to fellowshipping with you!

Men's Bible Study

Tuesday Mornings

Men, are ready to start your day on a spiritual high?  Come join us at 6:00 A.M. every Tuesday for an early morning Bible study and fellowship as we take a verse-by-verse look at various books in the Bible.  We meet in person at Chester Christian Church and there is also an option to join us virtually through Zoom.  We would love to have you worship the Lord with us for as it says in Proverbs 8:17 – “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”

Wednesdays at Noon

Are you looking for a mid-week spiritual pick me up in the middle of the work week?  Come join us at 12:00 P.M. every Wednesday for a lunchtime virtual Bible study and fellowship as we take a verse-by-verse look at various books in the Bible.  As you partake in some physical food, also partake in some spiritual food for as our Lord Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 – “…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Thursday Mornings

Bring your own coffee and join us for some fellowship and Bible Study to get the mid-week charge. Our plan is to take a look at different men in scripture and see what we can learn from their lives. There is so much to be learned from every character and how they faced adversity and challenges. So, man up, and make it a habit to meet with other guys each Thursday, before you go to work. This group meets on the first, third, and fifth Thursday mornings at 7am at church in room C100.

Community Groups

God's Guys

The God’s Guys Community Group of The Heights Baptist exists to inspire our men to follow Jesus and show compassion to the 804 community and our church family. We are about providing the men of our church to show the love of Jesus Christ through both Bible Study and acts of service in our community. We accomplish our mission by coordinating monthly prayer breakfasts as well as community outreach projects.  This includes feeding the low income living in hotels, Homeless, as well as showing respect and love to our first responders, teachers in others that serve us in the 804.  In addition, we follow the command of Christ by caring for the widows and other members of our church families in their time of need.  This often involves projects such as leaf removal, tree trimming, and other landscaping needs. Some projects can utilize as many as 20-25 men. We realize not everyone can join every project but encourage those who can attend do so when they can assist. Please join us in growing in Christ and sharing his compassion by attending our opportunities to serve at The Heights!
