Guest Services

AVAILABLE SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

Traffic Team
Direct traffic flow on and off the campus and assist guests with parking

Shuttle Team
Provides transport to and from off-site parking lots for services as well as special events and activities (need CDL with Passenger certification)

Greeter Team
Welcome guests at the entrances to the building

Information Center Team
Assist guests with information and connection to different ministries

Ushers Team
Greet guests, provide bulletins and other printed materials, collect the offering, and assist with seating

Hospitality Team (Special Events)
Assist ministries with events that require use of the kitchen, hostesses, laundry, or decorating

Security Team
Provide a safe environment for all guests, including a secure nursery and children’s area

Medical Response Team (license from the State of Virginia required)
Health care providers (nurses, EMTs, paramedics) with current state license in their respective field wanted to respond to on-campus medical emergencies until authorities can arrive

Event Registration
Assist members and guests with registration for all classes and events (i.e. VBS, GIC, Conferences); also assist with the purchasing of event tickets ( i.e. Concerts, Christmas program etc.)

Adult Life Groups

AVAILABLE SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

Life Group Class Administrator
Oversees the overall work of the Life Group. This relives the teachers of the administrative duties.

Life Group GIC Coordinator
Liaison for your Life Group with the Global Impact Conference.

Life Group Member Coordinator
Recruits and equips Life Group leaders and places an emphasis on keeping them vibrant and active.

Life Group Outreach Coordinator
To oversee the evangelistic emphasis of the Life Groups such as Chrestos event, FAITH teams and greeters.

Life Group PLACE Connection Coach
Keeps the emphasis of PLACE out in front of the group members.

Life Group Prayer Coordinator
Leads the class in effective intercessory prayer and expresses thankfulness to God for answered prayers and praises.

Life Group Secretary
Maintains accurate membership and attendance records so that effective ministry and outreach can occur.

Life Group Teacher
A biblical teacher is one who studies, models and communicates God’s Word in order to inspire and enable others to understand God’s Word. (Teacher training required)

Children’s Ministry

AVAILABLE SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS:

Nursery (9-23 months)
Cuddle, feed, rock to sleep, change diapers, play games, read stories, and sing praise to the Lord

Preschool (2-4 years)
Engage in creative play, read, lead, and help with small groups, do simple crafts, serve snack, and just have lots and lots of fun

Elementary (K-5th Grade)
Mentor and help children develop personal relationships with Christ; lead or help with Life Groups and fun games

Special Needs
Work with special needs children every Sunday morning during the 9:45 worship hour

KidsWorship
Provide energy for children’s Sunday services through hosting games, acting, leading worship, leading Bible lessons, and/or assisting in maintaining a safe environment; KidsWorship meets at 9:45 AM on Sundays

AWANA
Assist in listening to verses, praying, and playing games with kids on a weekly basis through the school year; meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 PM

Puppet Theatre
Storytelling through puppetry, be a main or supporting character, lead praise and worship or run lighting and/or sound system; Puppet Theatre meets at 9:45 AM on Sundays

Quarter Notes
Designed to teach preschoolers that we are made to worship the Lord; this music program is for children 4 years old and meets on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:15 PM during the school year

Young Voice
Assist children in learning music and performing in special events all to glorify the Lord in song; meets Wednesday nights from 7:35-8:15 PM during the school year

Resource Coordinator
Lend your creative talents and energy to coordinate, reproduce, and gather materials for classroom use each week

Guest Services (Check-In & Greeting)
Welcome guests and members, assist guests with check-in to our secure nursery area, guide guests to classrooms, gather information of first time guests for follow up

Youth Ministry

Small Group Leader
Facilitates a small group for Middle or High School age students (requires advance preparation)

Table Top Discussion Leader
Leads short discussion times during large Middle or High School services (does not require advance preparation)

Volunteer Coordinator
Assists the Youth Pastors in developing all levels of volunteers

Café Volunteer
Serves in the Kai Ro Café taking orders, crafting beverages, & cleaning at the close of operating hours

Media Coordinator
Responsible for fulfilling all of our Youth Ministry media needs for regular services and special events

Special Event Volunteer
Assists in a variety of ways during special events like DiscipleNow Weekend and Summer Camp

Youth Visitation Coordinator
Responsible for following-up with all first time visitors via mail, phone call, or personal visit

Youth Guest Services Coordinator
Helps ensure that every student that attends a youth event feels welcomed and cared for by our ministry

Mission Team Coordinator
Responsible for organizing, recruiting, and training students for local mission projects throughout the year

Drama Team Coordinator
Responsible for rehearsing and developing skits or video to be used within the ministry that will enrich the learning experience during a variety of youth ministry services and events

Celebration Orchestra
Rehearsals are every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Please attend 2 rehearsals before joining

Celebration Choir
Rehearsals are every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Please attend 2 rehearsals before joining

Praise Team
By application & audition only; you must also already be a member of the choir to audition

Mosaic Worship Band
Rehearsals are Tuesday at 8:15 PM; looking for players and vocalists interested in serving on a modern worship band

Midlothian Worship Band
Rehearsals are Tuesday at 6:00 PM; looking for players and vocalists interested in serving on a modern worship band at our Midlothian campus on Sundays, 10:00 AM

Special Events
Extra hands are always needed during special events, such as Christmas events, additional holiday celebrations, concerts. Opportunities include drama, dancing, set construction, painting, make up ,ticket sales, costumes, parking, backstage crews, ushers, tickets takers etc.

Backstage Production
Music sorting for Choir & Orchestra, set up and tear down of staging, etc.

Create graphic elements for series, promotional pieces, special events, etc.

Create/maintain multimedia web content; ensure consistency; maintain web content

IT Support
Help with IT projects such as upgrades to network infrastructure, equipment moves, and software upgrades

Writing/Proofing
Produce succinct, effective copy for promotional pieces, e-newsletters, videos, and web pages

Be a part of leading people to Christ on a weekly basis; decision counselors assist with times of invitation during our weekly services
